We are all responsible for teaching reading. This is not about whether or not a student has passed his OAKS Reading test nor about who is in charge of administering and scoring the formal Reading Work Samples. We are all responsible for teaching students literacy in our content area. Teaching using the practice reading work samples strategies and creating our own practice reading work samples can make us all stronger teachers of reading in our content area and can make students stronger readers too.
